Storage Management Specification for Raymond Mill

  Raymond mill is a complete heavy-duty powder grinding equipment,consisting of main machine,grinding roller,grinding ring,fan,classifier,reducer,motor,pipelines and dust removal accessories.It contains a large number of metal components.Precision bearings and transmission parts are prone to rust under damp conditions and deformation under long-term compression,while electrical components are susceptible to erosion by moisture and dust.To keep new machines intact during warehouse storage and idle equipment during long-term shutdown,avoid jamming of rusted parts,circuit short circuits and failure of elastic components,and standardize the whole storage process of complete machines and spare parts,this specification is formulated.All warehouse and equipment custodians must implement it strictly.

  I.Basic Environmental Requirements for Storage Warehouse

  1.Temperature and Humidity Control(Core Measure for Moisture and Rust Prevention)

  Raymond mill shall be stored in an enclosed indoor warehouse with ambient temperature controlled at 0~35°C and relative humidity≤60%.Dehumidifiers shall be turned on in rainy seasons and humid weather to prevent ground moisture backflow and wall condensation.Open-air storage is strictly prohibited;exposure to sunlight and rain will cause paint peeling,rust of shaft parts and short circuits of damp motor windings.

  2.Dust Prevention and Ventilation Requirements

  The warehouse shall maintain continuous natural or mechanical ventilation,and ground dust shall be cleaned regularly.Dust entering grinding chambers,bearings and motors will lead to mechanical jamming and decreased insulation performance.All doors and windows of the warehouse shall be well sealed without rain leakage or seepage.

  3.Site Basic Conditions

  The ground shall be hardened and flat with moisture-proof wooden or steel pallets provided;equipment must not be placed directly on the ground.The warehouse shall be kept away from water sources such as steam pipelines,sprinkler systems and water pools,and separated from strong acids,strong alkalis and chemical powders with a clearance of no less than 3 meters.

  4.Fire Safety

  Dry powder fire extinguishers shall be equipped in the warehouse.Open flames,welding work and smoking are totally forbidden.Lubricating oil and anti-rust grease shall be stored separately far from heat sources with complete fire isolation measures.

  II.Pre-storage Treatment of Complete Machine(Mandatory Procedures Before Storage)

  1.Complete Material Cleaning
  For used idle Raymond mills,run the machine empty for purging to thoroughly clear residual powder inside the grinding chamber,pipelines,cyclone dust collectors and filter bags,then flush and dry the inner walls.For new machines,remove outer packages and clean scraps of anti-rust packaging and surface oil stains.
  Release of Mechanical Stress to Avoid Component Deformation

  Loosen the pressure springs of grinding rollers to fully release mechanical stress.Lift the grinding roller assembly manually to completely separate grinding rollers from grinding rings,so as to avoid concave contact surfaces and fatigue failure of elastic parts caused by long-term compression.

  2.Full-machine Anti-rust Treatment
  Grinding parts including grinding rollers,grinding rings and shovels:wipe off dirt with diesel oil and evenly coat with industrial anti-rust grease.If stored for more than 3 months,dismount them and wrap separately with anti-rust oil paper.
  Main shafts,exposed bearing shaft heads,gears and chains:clean and spray anti-rust oil or butter.Chains can be soaked in anti-rust oil then wrapped with plastic film.
  All bolts,threads and flange joint surfaces:evenly coated with butter to isolate water vapor.

  Repair positions with damaged machine paint by applying anti-rust primer and topcoat to prevent steel plate perforation caused by rust.

  3.Lubrication System Sealing Treatment

  Drain all old lubricating grease from reducers and bearing housings,then fill with brand-new high-temperature lithium-based lubricating grease to 60%of bearing cavity volume,preventing grease oxidation,caking and oil circuit blockage.

  4.Sealing and Blocking of Chambers

  Seal and wrap the feed inlet,discharge outlet,fan air outlets and access doors with thick plastic film plus waterproof adhesive tape to stop moisture and dust from entering the machine interior.

  III.Stacking and Placement Specification for Complete Raymond Mill

  1.Clearance from Ground and Walls

  Place the complete machine on load-bearing pallets with a ground clearance of over 10 cm and wall clearance of no less than 50 cm on all sides.Reserve access passages for inspection and ventilation around for regular patrol checks.

  2.Stack Height Restriction

  Split components of complete sets including main machines,fans and pipelines shall be placed in a single layer;multi-layer stacking and heavy compression are forbidden.Large main machines shall be stored in separate zones,while small pipelines and fittings shall be sorted and stored on shelves to avoid extrusion deformation.

  3.Zoning and Marking Management

  Store new machines,idle standby equipment and equipment to be repaired in separate zones with material cards hung up,marked with model,warehousing date,storage duration and anti-rust maintenance cycle.Classify spare parts such as grinding rollers,grinding rings,bearings and motors with tags,and implement the FIFO(First In,First Out)principle.

  4.Dust-proof Wrapping of Complete Machine

  Cover all equipment externally with thick rainproof and dust-proof tarpaulins or wrap with stretch plastic film.Fit a separate waterproof and dust-proof cover on the electric control cabinet,and place packed desiccants inside the cabinet for moisture prevention.

  IV.Special Storage Protection for Motors and Electrical Systems

  Motors shall be disassembled and stored separately on dry shelves lined with moisture-proof wood boards where possible.If disassembly is unavailable,wrap the whole motor with plastic film and seal the terminal box.
  Install desiccants inside the electric control cabinet and replace them monthly.Prevent rainwater and dust from invading wiring terminals to avoid short circuits and electric leakage.
  For motors stored more than 2 months,test the winding insulation resistance monthly to prevent damp aging.

  Sort and bind wires and cables,and wrap joints with waterproof insulating tape to avoid oxidation of metal connectors.

  V.Separate Storage Specification for Spare Parts

  Precision bearings and grinding roller assemblies:soak in anti-rust oil,wrap with oil paper,put into sealed moisture-proof wooden cases and place on upper shelves.
  Steel pipelines and flange parts:coat surfaces with anti-rust paint,stack by category and pad with wood blocks at the bottom to isolate ground moisture.
  Filter bags,sealing gaskets and rubber parts:store on dry shelves away from light,grease and high temperature to prevent rubber aging and cracking.

  Tools and fasteners:pack into sealed boxes with a thin coat of anti-rust oil,and inspect rust conditions regularly.

  VI.Regular Inspection and Maintenance System for Stored Raymond Mill

  1.Monthly Basic Maintenance
  ①Rotate the main spindle manually for 2 to 3 circles to avoid indentation,pitting and rust of bearing balls under long static pressure;
  ②Check for damage to plastic film and tarpaulins covering the whole machine,and re-coat peeled anti-rust oil and butter;
  ③Replace failed desiccants in electric control cabinets and spare parts boxes;

  ④Record warehouse temperature and humidity,and clean accumulated dust around the equipment.

  2.Quarterly In-depth Inspection

  Unpack partial sealing covers to check for dampness and rust inside chambers;touch up peeled paint on the machine body;inspect springs and rubber seals for aging and deformation.

  3.Storage Cycle Reminder

  Under standard indoor dry sealed storage conditions,the maximum storage period of the complete machine is 12 months.Before commissioning equipment stored over 12 months,conduct full disassembly and re-inspection,fully replace all lubricating grease and remove rust layers.The machine can only be started after passing inspection.

  VII.Prohibited Operations During Storage

  Long-term open-air storage and transshipment without rain protection are forbidden;
  Storing grinding rollers in tight contact with grinding rings with springs under pressure is forbidden;
  Storing with open chambers and air outlets,or allowing dust and water to enter the machine body are forbidden;
  Co-storage with damp chemical raw materials and corrosive agents is forbidden;
  Heavy stacking of easily deformed parts such as pipelines,fans and grinding rollers is forbidden;

  Storing flammable thinners,gasoline and similar materials in the warehouse without isolation,which may contact equipment paint and rubber parts,is forbidden.

  This specification applies to warehouse storage,long-term idle shutdown storage of all vertical Raymond mills and custody of supporting spare parts.In rainy and high-humidity southern regions,shorten the inspection cycle and increase dehumidification and film wrapping protection measures.For frigid low-temperature areas,keep the warehouse warm in winter to prevent solidification and failure of lubricating grease.All custodians shall establish equipment storage and maintenance ledgers,fully recording warehousing time,anti-rust treatment,monthly spindle rotation and quarterly inspection records.Implement full-process control of moisture resistance,rust prevention,dust prevention and deformation prevention to ensure the equipment can be directly put into production after long-term storage.
